The Operations Lead (Simpler for Stores) will support the introduction of Activity Based Rostering and Labour Standards into store Operations and work as part of the Simpler for Stores team to ensure that activity based rostering transition for Store operations is successful. Identifying opportunities in business process maps and rostering principles, with all planned process changes applied in line with retail deployment plans – supporting the consistent retail, with a great team rostering solution experience and Voice of customer metrics.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role

  • To support and challenge the delivery of wage budget outcomes that enable compliant retail rostering through the implementation of labour standards.
  • To partner with People team, State, Operations and Store Managers to implement activity based rostering using tools to support a team first implementation.
  • Partner with State Managers and Operations Managers and complete analytics required to identify opportunities and support workforce planning across retail operations
  • Support the delivery of process change that challenges the cost of doing business, by identifying and valuing opportunities for improvement. This includes effectively collaborating with a broad range of key business stakeholders.
  • Coach, support and develop the Retail Operations Teams and Business Partners on activity based rostering best practices, ensuring that the venues implement and embed the program.


Now let’s talk about you

  • Retail sector business experience, with an ability to understand and challenge processes.
  • Experience in leading and coaching people to achieve overall project requirements.
  • Extensive experience in completing significant rostering at an area level within a retail environment
  • Experience and strength in facilitating workshops and training sessions to various groups of stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of google.
  • Knowledge and understanding of time and attendance systems.
  • Ability to understand and effectively interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to work independently, and across video conferencing as appropriate.
  • Able to travel interstate and within state.
