Nature and Scope
This position has the prime responsibility of ensuring that weekly and bi-weekly payroll is processed both accurately and timely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls (including NY, OH, CA)
Audit timecards and time off requests
Collaborate with employees and managers to ensure accurate and timely payment
Process wage garnishments and child support payments
Update the Workday system
Ensure correct Ohio Local Taxes are withheld from employees’ checks
Responsible for the filing and payment of all payroll related taxes and updating ADP records with new jurisdictions
Manage rejected direct deposits
PTO and other related time off administration
Verify that HR has accurately recorded time off for employees on leave, such as Family Medical Leave, Disability Leave, California Paid Medical Leave, etc.
Reconcile Federal Tax Forms (940 and 941) in ADP against the Workday Quarterly Tax reports.
Process Union Dues bills on a monthly basis
Admin to the CIC+ for the processing of federal, state, local and school district taxes and monitor bi-weekly.
Work with HRIS and the Payroll Team to test new functionality within Workday
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports and maintain reports in a shared location (including payroll, payroll registers, hours worked etc.)
Assist the Payroll Manager with special projects, including but not limited to assisting in financial audits, workers’ comp audits, etc.
Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers
Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field experience preferred or 5 years of related experience.
3- 5 years relevant work experience in computerized payroll environment required.
Strong knowledge of Workday, ADP SmartCompliance and state tax laws required.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to interact with all levels of employees
Detail oriented and team player
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; uses time efficiently.
Expected Salary Range:
$60,000 - $70,000
The salary range displayed is the minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role. Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
