Role Overview

The SeniorData Analyst provides critical insight, reporting and modelling to help develop and iterate our Packt+ subscription products.

This role will work closely with product managers in the subscription team to analyse and report on customer data to understand the performance of our subscription products, from acquisition and activation to feature usage, ongoing engagement and retention.

Reporting to the Packt+ Managing Director, this role will be a key driver of Packt’s data-driven approach to developing new products for tech professionals that help them with their key ‘Jobs to Be Done’ of advancing their knowledge in tech, staying up to date in the latest tech, and solving problems at work.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer behaviour and deliver actionable product insights in simple, clear reports
  • Analyse effectiveness of acquisition campaigns to optimise market reach, conversion rate and customer engagement
  • Manage the reporting requirements of teams working with direct customers, and turn insights into dashboards
  • Develop, evolve, and measure appropriate key business metrics

Essential Requirements

  • Predictive analytics
  • Strong Python programming skills in a data retrieval, manipulation and analysis context
  • Retention and churn modelling
  • Very strong modelling, data analysis and data interpretation skills
  • Proven Microsoft Excel skills
  • A strong awareness of and interest in IT
  • Project management and process improvement skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and cross-departmental teams
  • Commitment to driving results Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate information clearly

Desirable

Working with SQL databases

  • Working with graph databases
  • Familiar with automation tools
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • In depth knowledge of social networks, the landscape, tools and techniques
  • Building frameworks and systems to automate decision making processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or physics

Gross Salary- Up to 220,000 (Per month)
