Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Assist Dr. Geiger's lab in ongoing research and lab operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist graduate students with various research projects
- Manage inventory and place order for lab supplies within the Jaggaer system
- Keep lab stocked with commonly used items
- Place orders for items needed by the graduate student
- Contact vendors with questions regarding availability and fulfillment
- Perform general housekeeping of the laboratory and operations of the laboratory equipment, such as centrifuge, flow cytometer, incubators, and water bath
- Prepare stains, reagents, drugs, and buffer
- Assist graduate student with various procedures, consisting of: protein quantification; western blot; flow cytometry; spectrophotometry; confocal microscopy; cell culture; cell lysate
- Fill and autoclave pipet tip boxes as well as autoclave water for common use - (Essential)

Minimum Requirements
- Majoring in a STEM related field
- Experience in a laboratory setting through work or education experience
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
