The Training Solutions Sales Managers (2) will be located in the Western and Eastern parts of US. The Eastern Training Solutions Sales Manager will also support Canada.

Job Description

The Welding Training Solutions Manager is responsible for providing welding education and training expertise through a technical understanding of welder training solutions equipment, processes and related trends to defend and grow business with strategic end user accounts. This role will act as a consultant to the field sales team by providing technical expertise necessary to win business as part of the account planning process. Will deliver results via presentation of ITW training solutions that deliver customer value. Close collaboration with all ITW Welding sales personnel to identify and support large end-user conversion opportunities and defend key accounts is expected.


What You’ll Do and Impact:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert driving welding training enhancements for ITW customers and apply process, product, and technical expertise to convert training solutions sales opportunities.
  • Ability to effectively manage an assigned territory by exhibiting an 80/20 decision making process.
  • Develop and execute data driven sales strategies to drive profitable sales growth in the region in support of the division’s Long Range and Annual Plans. This includes prospecting, target account ownership, and working through other key sales partners to execute overall strategy.
  • Display an enterprise mindset through collaborative account planning with ITW Welding Sales and divisional teams to convert/earn end user business.
  • Utilize a consultative, value-based and solutions focused sales methodology to drive new revenue opportunities.
  • Lead customer centered discussions at each stage of the ITW Key Account Sales Process.
  • Maintain consistent communications of key activities with ITW sales leaders, regional team, distributor partners, key end users, and the division.
  • Monitor competitive activity and trends in the region.
  • Achieve revenue objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Effectively present product demos for customers and distributors. Will work closely with the Training Solutions Sales Specialist.
  • Maintains CRM tracking of opportunities and end user account information

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Minimum three years of software and/or education market sales experience
  • Must possess technical aptitude & manufacturing process knowledge

  • Excellent business planning skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, organizational, follow up, and planning skills.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, aggressive, a good team player, and possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow through to completion.
  • Ability to travel overnight at least 60%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems.
