The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
• Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in building applications using MS PowerApps
• Use Microsoft Power Apps and Automate, including using SQL/JSON to interact with SQL Server and Oracle data.
• Experience using PowerShell scripting to automate operational tasks
• Experience querying Oracle and SQL Server based data
• Understanding of query optimization
• Experience with reporting tools, especially Power BI Paginated or SSRS.
• Familiarity with a variety of computer programming languages and possessing a professional developer's mindset
• Experience with report scheduling systems. Toad Intelligence Central preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for maintenance and enhancements of report scheduling system, and automation of reporting jobs, using Microsoft Power Apps, Toad Intelligence Central, Toad Data Point, and PowerShell
• Responsible for data analysis, compilation, and/or reporting work, using Toad Data Point, Toad for Oracle, Toad for SQL Server, or similar tools.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$78,800 - $108,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
