We Are Hiring - Senior Compliance Officer DNFBPs Sector Oversight
Responsibilities
Assist in increasing the number of onboarding institutions in the DNFBPs sectors.
Conduct off-site examinations and follow-up reviews of DNFBPs.
Perform risk assessments for DNFBPs.
Conduct sector studies and thematic reviews to strengthen compliance monitoring.
Organize and deliver awareness programs, capacity-building workshops, and outreach initiatives across sectors.
Support stakeholder coordination relevant to DNFBPs.
Assist in conducting meetings and reporting activities as required.
Oversee DNFBP sector activities and provide management support.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) management. Educational Qualifications
Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Professional certifications in AML/CFT compliance such as ACAMS or Compliance Diploma preferred. Experience
Minimum 15 years of overall banking experience, including at least 5 years in AML/CFT compliance or risk management roles; OR
Retired officers or individuals who voluntarily resigned prior to retirement age, with equivalent experience, will also be considered. Preferred Skills & Competencies
Excellent proficiency in Sinhala & English or Tamil & English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured reports and documentation.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
High flexibility and adaptability in dynamic work environments.
