    Position Title:CFD Engineer II

    Job Summary

    TheCFD Engineer IIwill have the opportunity to work with and collaborate with senior design staff to advance theirCFDskills fordata centerdesign and construction. They will learn, through hands-onapplication, how to design a wide variety of projects. This person will work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents,developand edit projectspecificationsandassistin the construction administration process.

    TheCFD Engineer IIwill receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on newprojectsor assignments.  May work independently consistently exercising discretion and independent judgment on individual work, or under immediate supervision.  May serve as tradeleadon routine projects of limited scope.

    TheCFD Engineer IIwill communicate andoperatein line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmentalobjectives.

    Essential Functions

    CFD Analysis Documentation Management(30%)

    • Participate in the entire process of CFD analysis documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project goals from initiation through to validation.

    • Utilize data center specific CFD software tools likeReality DC Design byCadence, or equivalent (TileFlow,CoolSim, Autodesk CFD, etc.).

    • Utilize general CFD software like Star CCM+ for building / wind analysis or HVAC related equipment manufacturing. Pre-Simulation Planning(30%)

    • Coordinate closely with design teams to refine simulationobjectives, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project requirements

    • Participate in discussions to define simulation prerequisites, collect necessary data, andestablishingaccurateinitialconditions for simulations

    • Identifychallenges and recommend modifications to design parameters or simulation setups, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the simulation process Simulation Execution and Validation(30%)

    • Coordinate activitiesbetween design, project management, and clients, to ensureeffective communication andalignment of project objectives

    • Conducttechnical discussions with clients, presenting simulation findings,interpretresults, andprovideinsightsforCFD analyses

    • Conduct rigorous validation of CFD results, employing advanced analytical techniques to ensure that simulations are bothaccurateand reflective of real-world conditions

    • Participate inthe review process,identifyingdiscrepancies, andrecommendingsolutions to improvesimulationfidelity and project outcomes. Reporting (10%)

    • Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders

    • Update andmaintainshop drawing andRFIlog

    • Manage personal hours using company tools Technology, Digital Tools & AI-Enabled Efficiency

    • Leverage AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, high-quality work output.

    • Identifyopportunities to improve processes anddemonstratea continuous learning mindset, seeking outnew technologies, skills, and methods that elevate individual and team performance.

    • Adapt toemergingtechnologies and evolving digital workflows, actively supporting the integration and adoption of innovative tools across the organization. Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget

    Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned

    Position Requirements (Intermediate level for all the following)

    • Knowledge of fluid mechanics principles including boundary layers, laminar flows, and basic heat transfer

    • Knowledge of core numerical methods in CFD like finite volume and element methods

    • Knowledge of primary turbulence models and their applications

    • Skilledin using CFD software for simulations and reviewing drawings with AutoCAD/Revit.

    • Skilled in using CFD data center specific software tools, especiallyReality DC Design byCadenceor its equivalent

    • Skilled inusing general CFD software like Star CCM+ for steady-state and transient simulations

    • Skilledin 3D modeling and cleaning and preparing complex CAD for CFD modeling

    • Skilled in JAVA or Python scripting and comfortable with Linux and HPC systems preferred

    • Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management

    • Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail

    • Ability to work successfully in a remote environmentthrueffective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace

    • Ability to interpretCFDresults and communicatewellin writing and verbally

    • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements

    • Ability to analyze and prepare documents,reportsand correspondence

    • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines

    • Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Physical Demands

      Travel / Relocation Requirements

    • Approximately 10%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states

    • Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees,meetingfor business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc. Education / Experience

    • Master's degree in engineering PLUS

    • Threeto five years’ experience in a consultancy setting. Benefits
