We’re looking for a frontend-focused engineer who’s excited to help Hemi build tools that support patients and therapists, cares about making a real difference, and enjoys working closely with a small, hands-on team.
Hemi is building a digital platform that supports patients and therapists between clinical sessions. The company is especially excited about the opportunities AI unlocks to enhance both sides of the experience — from an AI pain coach that helps patients stay engaged, supported, and motivated between appointments, to a clinical copilot that helps therapists work more efficiently and make better-informed decisions with richer insights and smarter workflows.
Relevant experiences:
Strong experience with React Native and TypeScript
Solid frontend fundamentals and care for UX quality
Product-minded approach and curiosity about users and clear and kind communication style
Comfortable using English in daily work communication
High integrity, ownership, and accountability and experience working in startups or scale-ups
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure
Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments
Experience building multi-sided platforms
Familiarity with the company's stack: VS Code, Opencode AI, GitHub & GitHub Actions, Linear, Figma, Slack, Google Workspace, Sentry, Metabase and Mixpanel
Accountabilities:
Build and improve patient-facing and clinician-facing product features. We're looking for a Product Engineer with a strong frontend focus who enjoys building products end to end.
Own frontend implementation of key user journeys. This is a role with a lot of trust and autonomy, paired with clear ownership and responsibility.
You will work closely with UX and product in a small, caring team that values good communication, integrity, and thoughtful decision-making.
Take responsibility for the quality of what you ship. You care as much about what you build and why as how you build it.
Translate complex workflows into clear, maintainable code
Contribute to backend or API work when needed
Help evolve the product as Hemi grows
