The Senior Proposal Writer is a key part of the Commercial Excellence team and is primarily responsible for supporting end-to-end bid and proposal activities, resource allocation, and coordinating activities with cross functional teams.

Performs initial RFP analysis and coordinates/develops key proposal components to include proposal format and layout, templates, graphics, tables, diagrams, and charts.
Reads, interprets, tracks, and ensures compliance with RFP content and formatting requirements.
Determines appropriate approach in response to the RFP requirements and stated scope of work.
Responsible for document formatting, layout, production, and packaging.
Writes original proposal content, draws on past proposal library content, interviews subject matter experts and works in collaboration with opportunity architect to develop first draft of proposal response, edits technical material provided by subject matter experts into a cohesive proposal response draft.
Researches, authors and edits responses to writing requirements.
Works collaboratively with SMEs to understand program delivery strategies and develop content that clearly articulate key messages, value propositions, with themes and key differentiators against competition.
Performs visual review of all proposal deliverables to achieve highly professional and polished client-ready documents.
Establishes proposal timeline to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Takes ownership for meeting tight deadlines and orchestrating all activities required for producing the final proposal, including submittal through procurement websites / portals.
Supports finalist interview presentations, including developing presentations, writing responses, and coordinating rehearsals.
Conducts post-production internal debriefs and lessons learned to refine process and increase effectiveness
Leads efforts for annual maintenance of proposal library and serves as liaison with SME departments to revise and improve content available.
Identifies, assesses, resolves, and/or escalates issues as needed
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required or equivalent required
3 – 5 years of experience in proposal writing and management
Ability to work with numerous software packages and procurement portals including Microsoft 365, Adobe Illustrator, and AI Tools.
Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting high quality standards Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of Demand Side Management and Renewable Energy programs
Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills, including proficiency with grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style guides
Demonstrated success in cultivating positive internal relationships

Ability to work with a wide range of subject matter experts in a collaborative manner

Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
