
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role as a strategic finance partner to business leaders, providing insight, ownership, and financial leadership to support PROS’ continued profitable growth. This individual will own key aspects of the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes and will deliver high‑impact analysis and recommendations to senior management and executives.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, FP&A and be responsible for leading financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management across assigned business areas. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to operate with a high level of independence, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence decision‑making at the executive level.
A Day in the Life of the Senior Financial Analyst
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned business units, including development of assumptions, scenario analysis, and executive review materials
Own and enhance financial planning and forecasting models, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and alignment with business strategy
Act as the primary finance partner to cross‑functional leaders, providing proactive insights on performance, trends, risks, and opportunities
Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying root causes and communicating insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Own executive‑level, Board, and senior management reporting, including financial narratives and KPI analysis
Partner closely with Accounting to ensure alignment between forecasts, actuals, and financial reporting
Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting to increase efficiency and analytical impact
Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis to support strategic initiatives and long‑term planning
Lead cross‑functional projects and analyses related to growth initiatives, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
Serve as a mentor and informal leader to junior analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing
Qualifications- About You
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insights
In‑depth understanding of financial statements, forecasting methodologies, and business drivers
Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in an evolving, fast‑paced environment
Confident communicator who can partner with and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ownership mindset with a track record of driving results and improvements
Requirements
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
Extensive experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting systems
Strong executive‑level communication skills, including the ability to clearly present analyses, insights, and recommendations
Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead initiatives end‑to‑end
Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
At least five years of related experience in an FP&A, banking, corporate strategy, or consulting role
Experience leading initiatives end‑to‑end and challenging assumptions from business partners
Software or SaaS industry experience preferred
