We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails & React) to strengthen our apps team technically, take on responsibility, and take our Shopify apps to the next level. With us, you’ll not only work on exciting Shopify apps, but you’ll also have the freedom to actively shape technical decisions—from architecture and patterns to mentoring the team.
Your Mission
Further Development & Ownership
You’ll further develop our existing Shopify apps and ensure stability, performance, and clean code quality
You’ll design new features & epics—scalable, maintainable, pragmatic
You’ll take on technical responsibility: planning architecture, identifying risks early, establishing sensible patterns
New Development & Product Collaboration
You’ll develop new Shopify apps—from the initial idea through technical implementation to launch
You’ll work closely with our product team: they define the “what,” you’re responsible for the “how”
Mentoring & Team Enablement
You’ll support junior developers through code reviews, pairing/sparring, and clear communication
You help further develop standards, tooling, and processes within the team (testing, reviews, architectural decisions)
You complement our Dev Leads technically and actively contribute to a strong engineering culture
What you bring to the table:
Our Must-Haves:
Ruby on Rails & React: at least 3 years of productive full-stack experience with a solid grasp of architecture & refactoring
Demonstrable mentoring experience (e.g., regular code reviews, technical enablement of juniors, standards/best practices)
Solid experience with Git, PostgreSQL, and automated testing (ideally RSpec)
You can solve complex tasks independently—from refactoring to architectural decisions
You contribute ideas, anticipate information needs, and communicate proactively
You speak very good German (fluent spoken, solid written)
Our Nice-to-haves:
Experience in Shopify app development
Experience with GraphQL APIs
