As a Sr. Principal Application Engineer, you will be responsible for pre-sales technical campaigns to help sell EDA tools used to design printed circuit boards. The successful candidate will work closely with sales in supporting technical campaigns by creating and conducting product presentations and demonstrations, and some customer training and deployment work. This is a customer-facing presales role for a technical professional who enjoys building long-term relationships, influencing technical decisions, and helping customers succeed with complex PCB design challenges.
What you'll do:
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to key customers, building strong, long-term relationships
Lead enterprise presales engagements, including technical discovery, solution positioning, technical presentations and product demonstrations, and customer enablement through evaluation and adoption
Provide high-touch support, education, and technical consultation
Partner closely with Sales to influence design wins, expansions, and technology adoption
Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to champion customer needs and influence the product roadmap

What Success Looks Like:
Stakeholders view you as a go-to technical resource and reliable advocate within their organizations
You plan and execute customer engagements involving the Allegro X platform in close partnership with the account team
You demonstrate a positive impact on customer acquisition, satisfaction, retention, and expansion
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience in PCB design, layout, or relevant adjacencies
Solid understanding of schematic capture and PCB design workflows
Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present and clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of, or direct experience in the EDA industry
Strong background in one or more of:- PCB layout or manufacturing
Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and high-speed design
Electromagnetics or RF, as related to PCB design
Hands-on experience with Cadence Allegro platform tools (Allegro PCB Editor, System Capture, Design Entry HDL)
Strong professional network within local engineering communities
