Your Responsibilities
Are you looking for a meaningful student job alongside your studies and interested in gaining initial or further practical experience in payroll accounting, continuing education, and participant support?
As a student teaching assistant, you’ll support our team in assisting participants throughout their continuing education program. You’ll work closely with instructors and the operations team to help ensure that our participants’ daily learning experience is structured, motivating, and runs smoothly.
This role is explicitly a support position for a working student: You will not have independent teaching responsibilities, but will support our participants and instructors in their day-to-day work, gaining valuable practical experience in a growing education and payroll environment.
Support in Daily Learning Activities:
You’ll serve as a reliable point of contact for participants regarding organizational and content-related questions and assist them with practical tasks related to payroll accounting, compensation processing, and payroll-related processes.
Guiding participants:
You’ll help provide direction throughout the learning process, motivate participants when they face challenges, and support them in staying on track.
Explanation and Assistance:
You help make technical content understandable and assist with the application of topics such as gross-to-net calculations, social security, income tax, reporting requirements, and related processes.
Supporting the teaching team:
You’ll work closely with our instructors, provide feedback based on day-to-day learning experiences, and assist with quality assurance for our programs.
Contributing to Day-to-Day Operations:
You’ll participate in team calls, document relevant information, and help further develop our learning and support processes.
What You Bring to the Table
You are currently enrolled at a college or university—ideally in business administration, human resources management, accounting, business law, tax law, or a related field of study.
You’d like to gain practical experience in payroll, continuing education, or participant support while pursuing your studies.
Some familiarity with payroll accounting, compensation processing, HR administration, or HR operations is helpful but not required.
You have a good basic understanding of—or a strong interest in—payroll-related topics such as income tax, social security, and administrative HR processes.
You can explain concepts clearly, are a good listener, and interact patiently with a diverse range of people.
You communicate confidently and politely in German and come across as respectful and approachable.
You work in a structured, reliable, and independent manner and can maintain a clear overview even when handling multiple tasks.
You are tech-savvy and enjoy familiarizing yourself with new tools and topics.
Important: This position is designed as a working student role. Therefore, you must be currently enrolled in a degree program and able to support us regularly as a working student.
Availability: Ideally, at least 4 afternoons per week from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
What We Offer
You’ll gain practical experience in a high-demand field and gain insights into digital professional development, payroll topics, and operational processes.
The position is designed to be compatible with your studies and offers flexible working hours as well as the option to work remotely.
Hands-on training:
You’ll receive structured training in your tasks and be supported by an experienced team.
Responsibility within an appropriate framework:
You’ll take on responsibility early on in a supportive role, without bearing sole technical or teaching responsibility.
A motivated team:
You can expect a collegial, ambitious environment with plenty of collaboration, a willingness to help, and creative freedom.
You’ll receive attractive compensation as a working student and, with good performance, have opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
Optional: Workspace in Berlin:
If you’re in Berlin, you can use our workspace.
Additional benefits:
