The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $114,071.00 to $192,797.00. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities
The VP, Finance ERP Implementation & Systems provides senior leadership for EagleBank's Finance ERP transformation, with primary accountability for the successful design, implementation, adoption, and stabilization of Workday Financials. The role leads the Finance workstream across accounting design, chart of accounts, data migration, process redesign, controls, integrations, testing, reporting, training, cutover, and go-live readiness. Following implementation, the position transitions into Finance and Accounting as the enterprise systems owner for the ERP, accountable for platform governance, optimization, financial systems strategy, reporting enablement, and the ongoing alignment of technology with controllership and business priorities. The successful candidate combines executive-level program leadership, strong accounting and controllership knowledge, and hands-on ERP implementation experience. The role serves as the primary connection among Finance, Accounting, Technology, EPMO, Risk, Internal Audit, business stakeholders, Workday, and the implementation partner, and provides clear decision support and escalation to executive governance.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Executive ERP Program Leadership
Own the Finance ERP implementation from mobilization through stabilization, including scope, roadmap, milestones, resource planning, budget coordination, dependencies, risks, issues, and business outcomes.
Lead the Finance and Accounting workstream and coordinate day-to-day execution across Workday, the implementation partner, Technology, EPMO, Risk, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders.
Establish program governance, decision rights, design authority, escalation protocols, and executive reporting for the Finance ERP transformation.
Provide clear recommendations to executive sponsors and governance committees on scope, design, risk, readiness, and key implementation decisions.
Hold internal and external workstream leaders accountable for deliverables, quality, timelines, and resolution of cross-functional dependencies.
Finance and Accounting Design
Lead the future-state design of core Finance and Accounting capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, procurement, cash management, fixed assets, budgeting, close, consolidation, reconciliation, and financial reporting. Lead the cleanup, rationalization, and redesign of the chart of accounts, financial dimensions, reporting hierarchies, accounting rules, and supporting data structures.
Partner with Finance leadership to translate accounting, controllership, management reporting, and regulatory requirements into scalable system and process designs.
Ensure the future-state design embeds appropriate internal controls, segregation of duties, auditability, approval authorities, and policy requirements.
Data, Integrations, Reporting, and Controls
Own the Finance data conversion strategy, including extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and archival of legacy financial data.
Provide business leadership for integrations between Workday Financials and banking, treasury, payroll, procurement, data, reporting, and other enterprise platforms.
Lead the Finance reporting inventory and future-state reporting architecture, including statutory, regulatory, management, operational, and ad hoc reporting needs.
Ensure data integrity, lineage, reconciliation, security, retention, privacy, and audit support throughout implementation and ongoing operations.
Testing, Change, Cutover, and Adoption
Own the end-to-end Finance testing strategy, including unit, system integration, user acceptance, parallel, regression, reporting, security, cutover, and post-production validation.
Lead Finance readiness for deployment, including procedures, training, communications, role definition, support models, cutover planning, and command-center coordination.
Define measurable readiness and acceptance criteria and provide an executive recommendation on go-live preparedness. Lead stabilization and adoption following launch, ensuring issues are prioritized, resolved, documented, and transitioned into sustainable operating processes.
Post-Implementation Finance Systems Ownership
Transition into Finance and Accounting as the enterprise product and systems owner for Workday Financials and related Finance platforms following implementation.
Own ERP governance, configuration standards, release management, enhancement intake and prioritization, access governance, issue resolution, vendor management, and platform controls in partnership with Technology.
Develop and maintain the Finance systems strategy and multi-year roadmap, aligned with accounting, controllership, business, data, risk, and enterprise technology priorities.
Lead continuous optimization of Finance processes, controls, reporting, automation, and user experience while protecting platform stability and data integrity.
Establish service levels, operating procedures, documentation, support responsibilities, performance measures, and governance routines for sustainable platform ownership.
Build and lead Finance systems capabilities and resources as the operating model develops and organizational needs are approved.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Technology executives on ERP strategy, implementation tradeoffs, operating model decisions, and investment priorities. Communicate complex system, accounting, data, and implementation matters clearly to executives, governance committees, auditors, and business stakeholders.
Promote disciplined decision-making, cross-functional accountability, change leadership, and strong partnership across the enterprise.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all EagleBank policies and standards.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, Management, IT or related field
10 years additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
12 years progressive experience in accounting, controllership, or financial systems required, preferably within banking or financial services
3 years experience leading or serving as a core team member on a full-lifecycle ERP implementation (Workday Financials preferred)
Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP and internal control requirements
Demonstrated experience with chart of accounts design, financial data migration, and reconciliation
Hands-on experience with Workday Financials or a comparable enterprise ERP platform
Strong project management skills, including planning, issue and risk management, and executive reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence across departments
Preferences:
Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) MBA or Master of Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI or workday financials certification
Experience serving as a system or product owner for a financial platform
