Nuclear Energy
Radiant is a nuclear technology startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company's flagship product, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to be transported anywhere power is needed and operate for up to 5 years without refueling. Radiant's microreactors are engineered to replace diesel generators and provide critical power support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. The company leverages modern software engineering and existing, well-qualified materials to rapidly deliver safe, factory-built reactors. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor at Idaho National Laboratory in summer 2024, with initial customer deliveries planned for 2028.
