Trans Lifeline is a nonprofit organization founded in 2014 dedicated to providing trans and gender-nonconforming communities with connection, care, and advocacy. The organization operates three core programs: a confidential peer-support hotline staffed by trans and GNC individuals offering emotional support, crisis intervention, and resource referrals; the #SafeHotlines campaign aimed at ending police involvement in crisis intervention; and a Microgrants program that distributes small grants to cover costs associated with legal name changes, identity document updates, and other trans-specific needs. Guided by the belief that trans people deserve the opportunity and resources to determine their own futures and live with dignity and confidence, Trans Lifeline works to create trans communities as places of imagination, liberation, and joy free of prisons and police.
