About the role:

This role delivers quality care to patients on Oscar's platforms via phone and messaging. This role will serve as a supervising physician to other Advanced Practice Providers employed or contracted with Oscar Medical Group.

You will report into the Medical Director, Virtual Urgent Care.

This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Pay Transparency:

The monthly supervision stipend is $200 per APP per month, up to 10 APPs, a max of $2,000 per month.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants within state by state regulations
  • Provide medical care virtually (both by phone and message) in alignment with Oscar Medical Group guidelines, practices and policies, if necessary and agreed upon by both physician and group
  • Collaborate with MAs, RNs, and other providers across service lines
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Board-certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Supervision experience of Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA)
  • Must be licensed in CA, TX, and GA
  • 3+ years experience in urgent care, ER or outpatient family medicine practice.

Bonus points:

  • 2+ years of Telemedicine experience
  • Compact physician license
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Licensed in OMG states: AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, VA

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
