Working Hours: M - F, 8:00am-5:00pm, EST/ 8:00pm - 5:00am, Philippine time

Salary Range: $ 1300 - 2000

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who will be responsible for the overall technical

implementation of custom Shopify theme and front end development. The ideal candidate

should have several years of experience in leading the development of Shopify projects and

understand Shopify best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Write high quality code using Liquid, Javascript, React, Tailwind, GraphQL and other front end frameworks
  • Possess knowledge and experience with the Shopify eCommerce platform.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to ensure a high level of quality.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to accurately describe issues to clients, developers, and project managers.
  • Pay high attention to detail to identify issues within acceptance criteria, edge cases, and other potential problems.
  • Make high-level decisions by weighing options between code quality, issues, and timely code releases.
  • Arbitrate the release process to ensure all perspectives are considered when releasing code to production.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing risk and timelines to ensure all projects are successful.
  • Participate in current project cycles with some exposure to upcoming cycles.
  • Plan and implement large project components and APIs.
  • Identify and break down work into actionable tasks.
  • Contribute significantly to the delivery of project work.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Liquid, Javascript, React, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST, Git
  • Experience with Shopify development including: Themes, APIs
  • Experience working with JIRA/Confluence or other tickets management systems.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in eCommerce
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in writing software documentation
  • Strong understanding of the lifecycle and methodologies of software development
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate complicated systems to other team members and generate buy-in
  • Manages own work on a weekly basis
  • Consistently delivers high-quality material on time
  • Demonstrates above-average productivity
