The Accountant 2 provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and prepares financial reports.
- General Ledger Activities
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries for assigned companies and general ledger accounts timely and accurately
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing financial statements and other reports, and ensures deadlines are met monthly, quarterly and at year end close
- Prepares federal, state, and local reports including annual and monthly sales tax returns
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls
- Performs other general ledger activity as assigned
- Reconciliation/Analysis/ Projects
- Reconciles balances of assigned asset and liability accounts
- Identifies and analyzes significant fluctuations in asset and liability account balances to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
- Prepares various monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
- Prepares annual audit schedules for external auditors timely and accurately
- Assist with various accounting projects, including expense allocations, leased property and reporting activities
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in finance field
