Here’s what you’ll be doing:
We’re looking to bring an actuary into our MGA where we want you to be excited to contribute to the growth and success by introducing innovative actuarial analytics solutions, making this role your own.
Reporting to Michael (Head of MGA Pricing, Data and Analytics), you’ll work with an approachable, supportive manager looking to allow you to soak in our process and get up to speed and understand our unique business.

As one of our Actuarial Analytics Manager, you’ll:

  • manage a team of Analytics Analysts to create and implement monthly analytical reports for risk assessment, reserving, and forecasting
  • manage monthly and quarterly reserve reviews and annual profit share calculations, including preparing reports and additional claims analyses
  • use data insights to improve underwriting strategies and product profitability
  • conduct detailed claims analysis and share findings with the wider team
  • work with different teams to incorporate actuarial analytics into business decisions

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • an actuary (qualified or nearly qualified) with experience in the insurance industry
  • skilled in statistical modelling, basic machine learning, and actuarial software like R, Python, SAS
  • ideally proficient with SQL and interrogating databases
  • familiar with management information reporting and dashboard tools such as Tableau, Power BI
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of explaining complex data to stakeholders
  • demonstrated success in using actuarial analytics to achieve business goals
