Our client is a fast-growing US-based AI-automation agency that helps small and mid-sized businesses scale through Digital Employees low-code AI agents that remove manual work, cut costs, and unlock growth. As demand accelerates, they need a hands-on engineer to design, consult clients and build AI-powered solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of AI automation, client consultation, and system reliability. You'll handle client-reported matters while actively consulting and improving AI workflows and integrations in production.
Design & build Digital Employees on the Relevance AI platform (training provided).
Create end-to-end automations in n8n / Upgrade / Airtable that connect phones, CRMs, billing, email and more.
Integrate AI capabilities via OpenAI and related APIs to handle sales enquiries, support tickets and data processing.
Develop third-party integrations (REST APIs, webhooks) across CRMs, accounting tools and other business systems.
Maintain & optimise existing automations; troubleshoot issues, improve reliability and document processes.
Collaborate with AI Implementation Specialists and Client Success Managers, meeting 8-week delivery timelines.
Serve in a client-facing consultation role, working directly with clients to understand issues, provide updates, and help resolve matters across AI workflows and automation systems.
Troubleshoot workflow failures, API issues, and integration problems, investigate root causes, and implement effective fixes across platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, and similar tools.

Secondary: Zapier, assorted CRM & SaaS APIs
Languages: JavaScript, Python
Strong technical capability in JavaScript and Python
Hands-on production experience with n8n, Upgrade, Zapier, or similar workflow automation platforms
Deep understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and automation architecture across connected systems
Proven ability to design and deliver scalable business workflow automations in real-world environments
Work directly with AI and automation solutions that are actively deployed in production
Take on a high-ownership, client-facing position with meaningful impact on delivery and outcomes
