The Role:

The Assessment Development Consultant works with project managers, editors, psychometricians, and other staff members to manage the development of high-quality items for examinations, maintain exam item banks, and assemble examinations. This is a remote contract position, up to 32 hours per week, and subject to Meazure Learning’s consultant agreement conditions. The consultant functions as a resource for all assessment development projects supported by Meazure Learning on behalf of our clients in both the educational and credentialing sectors.

The Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and management of project schedules.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and their representatives.
  • Prepare materials for exam item writing/review meetings (agendas, instructions, etc.).
  • Conduct item writing/review and exam assembly meetings with clients.
  • Prepare and maintain exam classification/blueprint systems.
  • Inventory exam item banks and maintain complete records.
  • Make assignments to exam item writers/reviewers.
  • Perform best practice review of new and revised exam items according to industry standards and client/company specifications.
  • Create test form(s) in accordance with specifications and test assembly records.
  • Provide support to consultants/subject matter experts.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • Ability to perform as part of a team and individually
  • Knowledge of principles in educational and credentialing assessment development
  • Experience facilitating group meetings and trainings
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
