About the Job

We are looking for a unique candidate that wants to expand their knowledge in international payroll and general ledger staff accountant. This role will be reporting to the Int’l Accounting Manager..

The US-based salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • International Payroll responsibilities:
    • Review and verify the Payroll Changes Report for Canada and PEOs including validate changes to support documents.
    • Prepare reports that include changes to PEOs FTEs and any supplemental pays for PEOs.
    • Assist with month-end close processes including reconciliation of payroll GL accounts, accruals, and flux analysis as needed.
    • Calculate payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including prorate rate comp and preparation of EHT & WCB payments (quarterly) for Canada
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries
    • Assist with Ad hoc projects including validating year-end T4s (Canada) to ADP and resolving discrepancies.
  • General Ledger responsibilities:
    • Record daily cash relating to payroll transactions and assist in monthly bank reconciliations
    • Work with business leaders to prepare and complete monthly departmental accruals (including Canadian entity)
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including preparation of journal entries to support month-end close activities.
    • Assist in international tax compliance for sales tax, income tax, cost-plus, etc.
    • Support and participate in quarterly and annual financial audits

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years experience with a focus in International Payroll (a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Proficient in Excel, NetSuite (preferred), ADP (preferred), and FloQast (a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • International Tax Compliance experience (preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize workload with strong organization skills and being detail-oriented.
