As Associate Category Manager Chemicals Contract Manufacturing you will be part of the North America Procurement - Contract Manufacturing team and responsible for creating a competitive environment within the Solenis supply base, achieving cost reduction and cash flow targets within North America. You will be required to manage the relationships with a group of 3rd Party manufacturers, Tollers and Chemical suppliers, in alignment with the regional Supply Chain and Business organizations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Independently develop a sourcing strategy to deliver cost savings and cash flow targets
  • Analyze spend data to identify cost savings and cash flow improvement opportunities
  • Identify and develop preferred supplier network and achieve supplier consolidation
  • Negotiate contracts and purchases of Contract Manufacturing services and raw materials to ensure best conditions for Customers, Third Party Suppliers and Solenis plants.
  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with global and regional Sourcing, Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing Build strong relationships
  • Understand and communicate KPIs with respect to PPV, OTIF, Working Capital and Cost Out
  • Track results and communicate work progress during on-line meetings at critical milestones and/or regularly scheduled
  • Lead NA procurement projects
  • Engage suppliers on pricing and supply related issues for new product quotes, volume transfers and/or cost savings projects
  • Oversee regular supplier audits and measure supplier performance. Manage intermittent supply issues and support planning organization to ensure supplier performance and compliance. Develop appropriate communications to advise Business of supplier performance and work together with Quality department to make sure CMs comply with quality procedures.
  • Coordinate with Global team as appropriate
  • SAP Workflow items (vendor requests, material requests, FAA approval of PO’s, etc.)
  • Utilize e-technologies as applicable (Coupa, SFDC, reverse auctions, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with Solenis Environmental, Health & Safety, and Responsible Care programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field of work, e.g. Business, Supply Chain, Science or Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant functional experience with a focus on sourcing, supply chain, process excellence, and project/program management.
  • Experience with ERPs, supply chain collaboration and e-procurement tools such as SAP, Salesforce.com, Tableau and others
  • Excellent knowledge of typical professional computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed organization
  • Hands on and problem-solving mentality.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Good team player
  • Strong organization capabilities and project management skills
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of driving results, ability to influence and work collaboratively in cross-regional and cross-functional teams

The expected compensation range for this position is between $83,500.00 and $116,865.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
