Description:

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking an Azure Administrator for a 4-month contract employment opportunity. Reporting to the Manager, Software Applications, the Azure Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining and optimizing Azure cloud infrastructure services within an organization. The role involves deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Azure resources to ensure high availability, performance and security. The Azure Administrator works closely with stakeholders from various departments to understand their requirements and provide scalable reliable solutions that leverage Azure’s capabilities effectively.

Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Management
• Analyze business requirements and technical system capabilities to meet customer needs
• Lead requirement, elicitation process and design sessions in prototyping new systems or requested changes
• Compile all business requirements and processes/workflows and translate into ERP solution
• Collaborate courteously with different internal units, external consultants and other stakeholders in designing and implementing solutions
• Research, troubleshoot and mitigate transactional and other ERP project system related issues
• Configure functions and workflow to facilitate ERP system usage and integration with other applications
• Performing business systems and workflow analysis, and disseminating technical communications into a business context
• Creating user guides, training curriculum, and other pertinent documentation for internal and external partners in support of operationalization
• Participate in the development and execution of implementation/rollout plans
• Maintain current knowledge and understanding of ERP and integrated applications
• Support the continuous improvement of Business Analyst processes to support organizational evolution

Azure Service Deployment and Configuration
• Deploying and configuring Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure

Active Directory (AAD).

  • Managing Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and resource tagging to organize and track usage and costs effectively.
    • Integrating Azure services with on-premises infrastructure and third-party systems using Azure Hybrid Connections, VPN Gateway, and Azure ExpressRoute

Monitoring and Performance Optimization
• Monitoring Azure resource health, performance metrics, and usage statistics using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Application Insights.
• Setting up alerts, notifications, and automated remediation actions for monitoring and managing Azure resources proactively.
• Optimizing Azure resource utilization, scalability, and cost-efficiency through rightsizing, autoscaling, and reserved instance management.

Protection & Disaster Recovery
• Implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions for Azure virtual machines, databases, and storage using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and Azure File Sync.
• Configuring encryption, access controls, and data retention policies to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA.

Identity & Access Management
• Managing user identities, roles, and access permissions in Azure Active Directory (AAD) using Azure AD Identity Governance, Azure AD Privileged
Identity Management (PIM), and Conditional Access policies.
• Implementing single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC) for securing Azure resources and applications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are required
    • Proven experience in managing and administering Azure cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, networking, storage, and security.
    • Proficiency in Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, Azure Portal, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for automating deployment and management tasks.
    • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and routing in the context of Azure virtual networks and network security groups (NSGs).
    • Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, troubleshooting abilities, and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
