Back-end Developer Intern
As a Backend Developer Intern at FutureSight, you will collaborate with our studio team on various projects for our clients and new startup initiatives. We are seeking someone with a proactive “Let’s roll up our sleeves and get it done” attitude. The ideal candidate should demonstrate energy, passion, and a “can-do” attitude, along with excellent engagement and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and databases
Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, and deployment
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging server-side issues to improve application performance and reliability
Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Support the integration of third-party APIs and services into existing applications
Help prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals
Participate in team meetings and provide valuable input and feedback.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the adoption of best practices
Provide support to other members of the production team
Key Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and proficiency in back-end languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
Experience with server-side frameworks like Spring Boot, Django, or Express
Knowledge of database management systems, particularly SQL and NoSQL databases
Familiarity with version control systems like Git- Familiarity with RESTful API design and development
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in ChatGPT and similar generative AI tools
Nice to Have
Proficiency in Polish language for effective communication
Previous experience in mentoring
Understanding of RESTful API design and development
