Tasks

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled mid-level Backend Software Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our agile team. As part of a hybrid-remote environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan: Collaborate with other departments to discover new ideas and help shape product requirements.

Action: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Typescript and AWS services.

Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following TDD principles and e2e tests.

E2E: Develop GraphQL APIs to power our front-end applications.

Engage: Participate actively in chapter discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

Improve: Review and improve the existing codebase, identifying opportunities for performance optimization and refactoring.

Research: Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and AI tools, contributing to continuous improvement in both code quality and development processes.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend development

Environment: Solid understanding of Node.js and TypeScript

Required Technologies: AWS, TypeScript, GraphQL, NoSQL

Nice to Have: CDK, DynamoDB, Lambda / Serverless, Github Actions, AppSync, SQS / SNS

Education: a degree in Computer Science or related field

Languages: Candidates must be fluent in English.

Location

Strong preference for candidates to work from our Berlin office, spending 3 days per week on-site; however, a remote setup (within ±3 hours CEST) is also considered.
