About this role

Hi, my name is Abbie, and as head of Growth at Found I believe that telling our story is a key part of our growth. We’re looking for team members who believe that financial products don’t have to be intimidating or dry, but instead can be clear, interesting, and enjoyable to use.

Found has a vibrant customer base and an innovative product, and well-crafted copy helps connect the two. Creating captivating experiences through words will be the cornerstone of your work.

Great communication hinges on understanding, so listening to our customers, diving into research, and writing with empathy will be woven into your work. Working with our growth team, you’ll be responsible for helping to tell the story of Found.

Day to day you will:

  • Write clear, thoughtful, and consistent copy for various customer touchpoints, including digital ads, landing pages, emails, blog content, video scripts, social media, and more.

  • Partner with our growth, product, and design teams to understand Found’s product and business goals, and then channel those objectives into dazzling copy.

  • Transform big-picture thinking and open-ended ideas into actionable next steps.

  • Communicateyour ideas to both external and internal audiences in clear, concise, and innovative ways. You’ll de-mystify tricky concepts for our audiences and pitch your ideas to your colleagues.

  • Manageyour workflow, owning small- to medium-scale projects and deadlines independently.

To thrive in this role you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional writing role, preferably a brand or marketing-focused role. Consumer tech or financial experience is a plus.

  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, including proficiency in Google Docs and Slides.

  • A self-starter approach with the ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally, prioritizing workload.

  • Excellent communication skills to present your ideas, thoughts, and processes clearly and concisely, whomever the audience.

  • Strong storytelling ability that makes a financial product feel relatable and accessible while keeping business objectives and customer experience in mind.

  • A portfolio of original work that shows your ability to think creatively while also being focused on results.

  • A deeply collaborative approach to, and history with, partnering with design. You also seek out and take feedback from stakeholders, all in service of great creative.

  • A sense of humor to bring levity to your writing and to navigate challenges with an upbeat attitude.

You may also have:

  • Experience with marketing and content platforms like Braze, Contentful, or others.

  • Experience managing social media channels or knowledge of SEO best practices.

  • Experience with Figma, our design tool of choice.

  • Experience or interest in financial services, accounting, and self-employment.

Compensation at Found

The anticipated salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. The salary range listed represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
