About this role

ALC has an opportunity for an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Product Training professional. The focus will be on providing training (on the ALC platform WebCTRL) to internal and external customers on a variety of product components/platforms. Responsible for updating training as necessary and providing input to enhance Product Training performance.

As a BAS Product Trainer, you will be responsible for providing training and support to Automated Logic’s WebCTRL recommendations for the sales teams to train customers in North America. This position will require travel to various locations, to educate customers on the design, installation, and maintenance of the WebCTRL solutions that we offer with a focus on the data center market. There may also be training that is conducted at the Training Center in Kennesaw GA.

This is a hybrid role based out of any city in the USA close to an airport with frequent travel to Kennesaw for in-person training at our office.

Up to 60% traveling could be required and could also include traveling across possibly internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform training for various levels of users, installers, and engineers of Automated Logic’s WebCTRL control system hardware and software as implemented in a data center environment
• Create an open learning atmosphere for students of all levels of HVAC, DDC, and Energy Management

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or technical qualification (trade certification)
• 5+ years of experience in Building Management Systems (BAS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and product knowledge in any of these tools i.e., Automated Logic WebCTRL, Carrier i-Vu, Niagara 4, Niagara AX, Metasys, Facility Explorer, ComfortPoint Open, WEBs, Honeywell Forge, EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO), SmartStruxure, Tracer SC+/Synchrony, and Tracer Ensemble
• Experience with BAS installation, support, or maintenance in the data center vertical
• Understand mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems that Commercial Datacenter Controls would interact with
• Understanding of the equipment used in a Control System i.e. Hardware, Networks and Software
• Able to translate classroom lessons into practical workplace realities
• English written and verbal communication skills
• Consulting capability with interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Comprehend and develop task-based exercises around highly technical content
• Hands-on focus and task-based learning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Visio, Project
