Job Summary:
As a Business Development Representative, you will be a crucial part of our sales team, responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads and prospects. Your primary focus will be to generate new business opportunities by reaching out to potential customers, understanding their needs, and setting up initial meetings with our sales executives. Your efforts will play a key role in driving the company's revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify top-quality opportunities for our sales team through the discovery and qualification of outbound leads.
- Effectively communicate Metadata's value proposition to new prospective customers
- Use phone, email, and social tools to communicate with marketing executives to garner interest and to take a demo
- Experiment and iterate on processes and workflows to develop new sales opportunities. Find creative and fun ways to engage executives.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly pipeline goals
- Collaborate with AEs to create territory and account-specific engagement plan
Qualifications:
- A natural sense of curiosity
- A hunger to walk a prospect through the beginning stages of the sales cycle
- Salesforce or CRM experience
- High school diploma or Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a sales development role within the technology or software industry.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing automation tools.
Training Requirements:
- Training on the company's products, services, and value propositions.
- Ongoing sales and lead generation training to improve skills and techniques.
Working Conditions:
- Effective communication and collaboration with the sales and marketing teams are essential for successful lead generation and business development.
