Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development & Sales Director to join our team in Germany. This role is pivotal in driving the sales of our 5G mmWave network solutions to industrial and B2B customers, including System Integrators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications business development and sales, a deep understanding of wireless technology, and a proven track record of working independently to achieve business development and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Drive the sales and business development of 5G mmWave network solutions to industrial and B2B customers in Germany and the DACH region.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including major and local System Integrators, Mobile Network Operators, and operational technology companies (e.g., Bosch, Siemens, Moron, ABB, etc.).
- Find the proper partners to open new sales channels.
- Techno-business Consultancy:
- Leverage technology knowledge, creativity, and curiosity to assist and educate System Integrators with developing and implementing use cases which will demonstrate the uniqueness of 5G mmWave solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and applications of Microamp’s technology.
- Market Expansion:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within various industries, expanding Microamp’s footprint in the market.
- Utilize knowledge and contacts across different sectors to drive growth and adoption of 5G mmWave solutions.
- Understand, assess and apply to any government-led funding for such solutions
- Leadership and Growth:
- Demonstrate potential for growth within the company, with the opportunity to lead and develop the DACH division after demonstrating a successful track record.
- Lead and support junior sales team members as the company expands.
- Language and Communication:
- Communicate effectively in both English and German, catering to a diverse client base and ensuring clear and effective communication.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales of telecommunications solutions, preferably private networks, to industrial/B2B customers.
- Previous experience with major system integrators, mobile equipment vendors, or operational technology companies.
- Proven ability to work independently and achieve sales targets without direct supervision.
- Strong technology knowledge, creativity, and curiosity, with the ability to develop and support complex use cases.
- Extensive network and contacts within various industries.
- Fluent in English and German.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with sales to universities and academic contacts.
- Familiarity with federal and land grant programs, such as KOPA, and experience in leveraging these programs for business development.
