Position: Cantonese Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert Type:Contract Compensation:$50/hour Commitment:10–20 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Cantonese. Follow detailed constraints and instructions.
Produce high-quality written outputs in English when required. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
Define and document evaluation standards for consumer audio contexts. Develop rubrics and grading guidelines in Cantonese and English.
Conduct model testing and grading. Evaluate outputs for accuracy, completeness, and instructional clarity.
Support benchmarking and quality assurance. Participate in QA cycles to meet Mercor’s quality standards.
Collaborate with project leads to resolve ambiguities and improve task design. Qualifications
Must-Have
Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Fluency in Cantonese and English (spoken and written).
Available to commit 10–20 hours per week. Preferred
College students or recent graduates.
Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, or technical fields.
Prior experience with transcription, annotation, evaluation, or research workflows.
