    The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) supports the Category Management organization by analyzing business processes, optimizing systems, improving data quality, and delivering actionable insights that enable strategic category decisions. This role serves as the liaison between Category Management, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure systems, reporting, and workflows effectively support sourcing strategies, supplier management, spend visibility, and category performance objectives.

    The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business process expertise and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Process Analysis & Improvement

    • Partner with Category Managers to understand business objectives, challenges, and process improvement opportunities.

    • Analyze current-state workflows and design future-state processes that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.

    • Document business requirements, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.

    • Identify automation opportunities and recommend solutions that reduce manual effort and increase data accuracy.

    • Support change management activities associated with new processes and system enhancements.

    Systems Management & Optimization

    • Act as the primary business liaison for category management systems and related technology platforms.

    • Collaborate with IT and system administrators to configure, test, and implement enhancements.

    • Support procurement, sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and spend analytics applications.

    • Participate in system upgrades, integrations, and new technology implementations.

    • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures.

    Reporting & Analytics

    • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs that provide visibility into category performance, spend trends, supplier performance, savings initiatives, and operational metrics.

    • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights.

    • Ensure reporting consistency and data integrity across systems.

    • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews through data preparation and analysis.

    • Translate complex data into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.

    Data Governance & Quality

    • Monitor and improve master data quality across suppliers, categories, contracts, products, and spend data.

    • Establish data validation processes and governance standards.

    • Partner with business stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and improve data stewardship practices.

    • Support category taxonomy and classification initiatives.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to Category Managers regarding systems capabilities and process improvements.

    • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Technology teams.

    • Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting assistance.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or related field.

    • Three to seven (3–7) years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role.

    • Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, supply chain, category management, or finance functions.

    • Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and business analysis skills.

    • Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting tools.

    • Experience with SQL and data analysis techniques.

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Estimated base salary range: $77,100 - $118,600 USD/annually

    The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

    Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

    The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
