Role Overview
Blackbird Interactive is a remote-first game studio looking for a Character Artist to work on a 7-month contract. The role involves creating character assets from scratch, collaborating with the art team, and maintaining a cohesive character style.
What You Will Do
Handle the complete workflow from asset creation to implementation, work under art leadership, collaborate with technical artists and animators, and participate in art reviews.

Requirements
4+ years of experience in the game industry
Strong portfolio showcasing realistic human anatomy, clothing and armor design
Expertise in organic 3D sculpting (ZBrush/3D-Coat)
Proficiency in 3D modeling (Maya/Blender)
Strong hard-surface modeling skills
Solid grasp of Map-Baking, PBR workflows and Material definition using Substance Painter and Photoshop
Experience working within proprietary engines
