Job Description The person in this role is responsible for conducting investigations and confirming the facts surrounding losses for advanced home insurance claims as well as major losses. This person determines coverage and damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within discretionary limits.
Key Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with internal and external clients across multiple insurance lines
Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair practices; make decisions on the best course of action
Negotiate the most complex settlements, process related payments, and document all activities in the file across multiple insurance lines
Possess a thorough understanding of the content of all types of policies issued by the company
Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic estimation principles to create and verify damage estimates for complex first-party property insurance claims
Education
Valid AMF license required
AEC in property and casualty insurance is a plus
Experience
At least 5 years of field experience
Experience managing major loss claims
Equivalent Experience
Instead of the above educational requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not involve supervisory duties.

Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $64,512.00 to $105,336.00 per year. The actual salary offered to successful candidates depends on their skills and experience.
