About the Role
We’re looking for a Clinical Analyst to serve in delivering custom analytics using Atropos Health’s unique tool stack for life science and health system customers. The Clinical Analyst will be responsible for reviewing inbound informatics queries from a provider, and translating them into well designed clinical questions using our custom technology to define each of these criteria with medical ontologies (ICD10, CPT, LOINC, etc) and free text. The clinical analyst will also be responsible for sharing the findings of our analysis with the requesting provider and clarifying any technical details. The Clinical Analyst will NOT be providing medical advice/services but rather serving as a human-technology interface. Please note, this is a contractor position.
Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with life science stakeholders, physicians, clinical researchers to address hypotheses across various disease and treatment areas leveraging the Atropos platform.
Run custom analytics using Atropos Health proprietary technology stack + industry standard tools and analysis packages.
Supporting efforts to improve Atropos consult delivery process.
Present or co-present collaborative work at conferences and authoring articles within peer reviewed journal.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior experience working as an analyst at a health system/life science firm/consulting firm/or financial institution.
Quantitative background, including but not limited to clinical informatics, bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, applied math, physics, or engineering.
Deep knowledge of clinical terminology standards (ICD, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, etc) strongly preferred.
Familiarity with manipulating and analyzing data in SQL, Python, or R.
>2 years of prior history in consulting.
High degree of critical thinking and independent problem solving.
Ability to work with a team of highly skilled experts.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Fluency in oral and written english is required.
You must be able to with standard business hours within the US time zone (8AM - 8PM EST).
Formal clinical training or experience working in a health system preferred.
Track record of producing published work (peer reviewed manuscripts or poster/podium presentations) preferred.
Reporting
The Clinical Analyst reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer, Saurabh Gombar.
Location
We are a remote first company! You must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We cannot support visa sponsorship at this time.
