About Clipboard Education:

We started in healthcare and have since expanded into education with the same two-sided marketplace, by providing substitute teachers and other classroom staff greater flexibility to work when and where they want, while giving schools access to on-demand talent.

About the Role:

We are extremely excited about the opportunities we’re seeing in providing substitute teachers and other classroom staff to K-12 schools, and we want to double down on it. We’ve seen our healthcare product meaningfully improve the lives of nurses and facilities, and we want to do the same for teachers and schools. For this role, we are looking for someone who has spent their career working in or adjacent to schools or education systems, and maintains relationships with school and district administration. This role could be the right fit if you’ve spent your career as a lawyer, accountant, administrator or other partner of K-12 schools, and maybe you could retire completely but you love working with schools and aren’t quite ready to throw in the towel.

You have a long list of school relationships that matter to you. You also care personally about the success of these schools and are willing to vouch for a product that will help improve their lives. You should believe in our vision and the value in creating a more accessible way for schools to bring in qualified staff, especially substitute teachers.

You should expect to:

  • Ask your school relationships “how is staffing going?”, find systems in need, and open the door for us to partner with them.
  • Optionally travel to conferences you like going to, on our dime.
  • Teach us how our value proposition applies to schools and school districts (we’ve been in education for less than a year, so we expect to learn a lot from you).

An excellent hire will:

  • Bring in a handful (5+) of quality school opportunities every month from prior relationships, starting with the first month they are hired
  • Shepard over half of open opportunities to close and deliver reasoning on lost deals
  • Bring insights from conversations to help inform how to make our offering better for schools

Please note that while this role is remote, we are currently only looking for people based in the US.
