Job Summary:
As a Commercial Construction Foreman, you will support both the Superintendent and Project Manager as a key point of contact for all project stakeholders while overseeing ground-up projects and expansions to existing properties. This role requires practical experience managing multiple construction trades, including civil, structural concrete, paving, both wood and metal framing construction, electrical, and interior finishes. You will play a vital role in assisting with managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, and ensuring projects stay on track, all while maintaining compliance with codes and regulations for projects ranging from $1 million to $25 million.

Main Objectives & Responsibilities:
- Support the Superintendent and Project Manager as the secondary point of contact for all project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and seamless operations.
- Assist in managing subcontractors, inspections, and testing, ensuring quality control and compliance with project requirements.
- Help support the management of the project schedule, coordinating subcontractor tasks, providing schedule progress updates, and driving completion to maintain project timelines.
- Support cost management efforts, ensuring alignment with budget and financial objectives.
- Assist in scope management, ensuring clarity and accuracy in the work being performed by subcontractors.
- Support construction permit management, ensuring inspections and subcontractor requirements are met.
- Coordinate with engineering and architectural firms throughout the project lifecycle to ensure design and construction alignment.
- Help source and vet local subcontractors for performance and quality.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing scopes of work for use in estimating and
- construction.
- Support the subcontractor selection process, ensuring the right fit for each project.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local codes, laws, and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies.
- Assist in annual planning and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline future projects.
Qualifications:.
- 1+ years of experience in general contracting and overseeing commercial construction projects.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and learn from senior managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- A degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to quickly learn and build new systems and processes to improve project efficiency.
- Experience with Procore, MS Project, using an iPad and Laptop computer is
preferred but not required.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong focus on quality and maintaining SCM's high standard of excellence.
