- Task 1.1: Review existing primary data, documentation and evidence products
- Task 1.2: Put together a workplan for the development of the learning products
- Task 1.3: Communicate and/or meet with key stakeholders (program/country/regional teams) to help fill knowledge gaps
- Task 1.4: Review relevant secondary evidence sources, as necessary[
- Task 1.5: Develop draft learning product/s (each ranging from 5 to 15 pages long) and share for feedback
- Task 1.6: Incorporate feedback from Mercy Corps key stakeholders and finalize learning product
- Task 1.7: Coordinate with graphic designer for final version, as needed
- Task 1.8: Hold meetings/consultations with key stakeholders, as needed
- Provide relevant documents and technical support to the Consultant.
- Orient the Consultant on any relevant program and institutional information.
- Inform Consultant as to each product focus, type and audience
- Provide the Consultant with necessary documents.
- Introduce Consultant to relevant program and country team members.
- Include Consultant in relevant conversations.
- Monitor regularly, provide feedback, and ensure the effectiveness of the tasks and deliverables.
- Hire graphic designer.
- Disburse payment as per the agreed schedule in the Consulting Contract.
- Provide details on the primary audience for learning products and advise on how to tailor them to the audience/s.
- Minimum of three years of experience with documenting learning for humanitarian or development programs, ideally in relevant country contexts.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Development Studies, Sociology, Agriculture or other a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Specific experience and expertise in data analysis and synthesis.
- Experience in processing and analyzing qualitative data.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively under tight deadlines in a variety of cultural contexts.
- Knowledge of relevant sectors preferred.
- Required languages: English. Fluency in other relevant regional language a plus.
