Job Description

KPI Solutions is currently searching for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to enhance our internal and external installation sites. The right person for this position will be able to meet the needs of our leadership teams by managing, maintaining, and improving our demonstration equipment at the Centers of Excellence. This position will also better our installations at customer sites by performing audits and checks on engineering and installation. To be successful in this role, you must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with our internal teams and clearly report areas for improvement in our work. Other key values that a candidate should possess are collaboration, leadership, and ownership.

2. Manage KPI Centers of Excellence including customer demonstrations, maintenance, upgrades, training, and testing.

3. Responsible for testing prototypes and creating test plans & reports.

4. Rally support to complete tasks and needs of the company as they pertain to the Centers of Excellence.

5. Improve the engineering teams’ output by auditing work for standards compliance and providing training and development.

6. Drive improvements on our project sites by performing quality checks of installation and design.

7. Dedication to continuous learning of the application of new material handling technologies.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field required.
  • At least 5 years of experience analyzing, designing, and implementing automated material handling solutions.
  • Knowledge of CAD design software including AutoCAD
  • Must have a strong customer focus and be able to build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence effectively and quickly.
  • Natural self-starter, decisive, high energy, and can-do attitude with an eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards.
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written communication, and demonstrated skill to work with all levels of employees.
  • ASRS, AGV and Robotic experience in needed.
  • Travel to KPI Centers of Excellence (COEs), corporate offices, and/or project sites required as necessary (25%-50%)
