The successful candidate will support a major project on a Potash mine site, working closely with operations, construction, and project management teams to ensure effective contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
As a Contracts Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
Applying established best practices and structured processes for the administration and management of contracts
Performing invoice verification, contract compliance checks, and enforcement of contractual terms
Administering a range of contracts from post-award through close-out, including proper contract kick-offs and final close-outs
Ensuring contractor compliance with all technical, commercial, and contractual terms and conditions throughout the contract lifecycle
Verifying contractor charges against agreed rates, pricing, and mark-up structures, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments
Supporting monthly project reporting by providing contract performance data against key KPIs such as payment timeliness, cost, schedule adherence, and productivity
Leading the timely resolution of payment issues, claims, and contract disputes
Assisting project teams in interpreting contract terms and conditions
Contributing to continuous improvement of contract templates, tools, and procedures based on lessons learned during contract administration activities
Requirements
6+ years experience in a similar role
Strong communication skills - both written and oral
Strong negotiation, planning and leadership skills
Proficient computer skills
Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering is considered an asset.
Past Contract Admin work in mining is an asset.
