Contract Writer - A Book For Women Struggling with People-Pleasing

    The Daily Grace Co.
    Contract
    RemoteWritingToday

    About this role

    Location: Remote

    Position Overview

We are seeking a contract writer to develop and write a Christ-centered book focused on helping women overcome people-pleasing. This project will help women unmask the root causes of approval-seeking behaviors, dismantle the fear of man, and live in the genuine freedom of a heart captivated by the fear of God.

We are open to different conceptual directions for this resource, including:

    • A foundational, theological exploration of the "fear of man" vs. the "fear of God." This book would dive deep into theology to uncover how a woman's craving for human approval is ultimately a worship issue. It would offer a robust, gospel-centered framework for understanding our identity in Christ, freeing women from the exhausting, performance-driven cycle of earning love and acceptance.

    • A vulnerable, narrative-driven book that uses powerful personal storytelling, memoir-style reflection, and relatable lived experiences to expose the daily, heavy toll of people-pleasing. The author will walk readers through her own struggles with boundary-setting, overcommitment, and the fear of rejection—whether in friendships, marriage, ministry, or family dynamics—while highlighting the liberating grace of Jesus. The ideal project will combine deep empathy and cultural relevance with rich biblical truth, moving past shallow "assertiveness training" to point women to the ultimate security found in Christ alone.

    Scope of Work

    • Research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript (approximately 45,000–75,000 words)

    • Collaborate closely with the editorial team through multiple rounds of revision

    • Ensure theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co.’s doctrinal commitment Commitment

    Contract, per-project basis.

    Compensation

Compensation is determined based on project scope and complexity.

    Additional Information

Contractors are engaged based on the needs of specific projects and are not guaranteed ongoing or full-time work. Participation in meetings, workshops, or collaborative sessions may be requested depending on the project timeline.

Why Publish with The Daily Grace Co.?
