    We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and analysis, with the ability to drive financial strategy and provide executive-level insights to support business growth and decision-making.

    Responsibilities

    Financial Management & Reporting

    • Oversee all aspects of financial operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll management

    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with accuracy and timeliness

    • Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and board-level presentations

    • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy Strategic Analysis & Planning

    • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership

    • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and performance metrics

    • Develop sophisticated financial models and pro forma analyses for business initiatives, product launches, and strategic investments

    • Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer segment, and business unit Systems Integration & Process Optimization

    • Ensure seamless integration of inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and payment systems with the general ledger

    • Lead ERP system optimization and financial system implementations

    • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

    • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards Compliance & Risk Management

    • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies

    • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements

    • Oversee internal controls and SOX compliance (if applicable)

    • Identify and mitigate financial risks across the organization Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering professional growth and development

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, marketing, and executive teams

    • Provide financial training and support to non-finance departments Requirements

    Education & Certifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

    • CPA certification strongly preferred

    • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred Experience

    • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience

    • At least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior financial management role

    • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses strongly preferred

    • Public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firms is a plus Technical Skills

    • Advanced expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling

    • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, etc.)

    • Experience with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems

    • Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools Core Competencies

    • Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles

    • Comprehensive knowledge of US tax system, regulations, and reporting deadlines

    • Proven track record of successful month-end and year-end close processes

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

    • Experience in process improvement and change management

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting Work Requirements

    • Must align with Central Time business hours for collaboration with US-based team

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision
