We empower practitioners by providing tools and visibility to manage their own remote practice efficiently, fostering direct relationships between counsellors and clients across the UK and beyond.
Deliver Remote Counselling Sessions: Provide professional, ethical, and effective online counselling sessions to individuals (and couples/families if within your scope of practice).
Provide Therapeutic Support: Utilise recognised counselling approaches to help clients explore their issues, develop coping strategies, and work towards their therapeutic goals.
Maintain Confidential Records: Keep accurate, secure, and concise session notes in line with GDPR and your professional body's ethical guidelines.
Adhere to Ethical Frameworks: Practice strictly in accordance with the ethical framework of your primary UK professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCS).
Direct Client Communication: Manage scheduling, therapeutic agreements, and fee arrangements directly with your clients.
Engage in Regular Supervision: Maintain ongoing clinical supervision as required by your professional body for safe and effective practice.
Optional In-Person Work: If you possess appropriate insurance and facilities, you may offer in-person sessions arranged via the platform.
Qualification: Minimum of a Diploma (Level 4 or above), Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy from a course recognised or accredited by a major UK professional body.
Professional Body Membership/Registration: Current, verifiable membership and/or registration/accreditation with a recognised UK professional body for counsellors (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCS, COSCA). Being listed on a PSA-accredited register is highly preferred and may be required. This is essential for platform eligibility.
Experience: Demonstrable post-qualification experience in providing counselling, including supervised practice hours as required for professional registration/accreditation.
Supervision: Evidence of ongoing clinical supervision arrangements that meet professional body standards.
Insurance: Must hold current professional indemnity insurance appropriate for private practice.
Right to Work: Legal right to work on a self-employed basis in the UK.
Technical Setup: Reliable internet connection, suitable device for video calls, and a private, confidential space for conducting sessions.
Skills: Strong therapeutic presence, excellent communication and listening skills, empathy, reliability, ethical awareness, and organisational skills.
Accredited status with your professional body (e.g., BACP Accredited Member, UKCP Registered Psychotherapist).
Experience with specific counselling modalities (e.g., Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, Integrative, Solution-Focused).
Experience working with specific client groups or presenting issues.
Previous experience working remotely or in private practice.
