Role Purpose
The Country Talent & Excitement Lead will be responsible for building effective relationships within the organization to enable the smooth operation of people practices. The incumbent will provide the full spectrum of talent solutions and services to support the country’s goals and objectives through the development, implementation, and management of Human Resources processes and programs.
He/She will also provide leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of the Human Resources function; which includes employee engagement, employee relations, reward and recognition, talent acquisition, talent development and planning as well as organizational change management.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure country has the right number and type of talent required to execute country strategy and achieve established business results.
- Ensure country establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates in support of vision and values.
- Assist in achieving budgetary objectives in support of top quartile performance objectives while maintaining appropriate level of T&E service delivery.
- Scale the type and level of T&E service provided to country in anticipation of the specific needs of the country business strategy.
- Ensure successful implementation of corporate T&E processes and initiatives within country.
Day-to-Day Duties & Tasks
- Partner with Country Manager and local functional leaders in identifying current and future talent needs to achieve business objectives.
- Partner with Corporate and Talent Acquisition teams to take actions required to address talent gaps and ensuring country has the right talent in the right place at the right time.
- Effectively deploy performance management and reward processes and practices within country to drive desired performance results and retain top performers and high potentials.
- Partner with local leaders and coaches local T&E team in establishing and maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring that our values are lived.
- Partner with Country Manager and local functional leaders in identifying country’s talent priorities for the financial year as well as for next 3 years and the type of support required from T&E team to effectively address these priorities.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence in driving and executing corporate T&E processes and programs in support of the transformation process in country.
- Provide country talent dashboards, data and reports for management analysis, and conducting some country analysis as basis in identifying country talent priorities.
- Establish local T&E policies and procedures in alignment with corporate policies and guidelines and provides directions to local T&E team on these policies and practices.
- Ensure local operational support are conducted in an effective and efficient manner and continuously seek for process improvement.
- Lead and develop an exceptional T&E team.
- Be a champion for change and drive change initiatives.
- Oversee and manage office administration requirements and team for country.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
- Have at least at least eight (8) years of working experience in the retail industry a senior managerial position within the Human Resources department.
- Have demonstrated an experience and knowledge of HR administrative best practices, Human Resources technology, and general practices.
- Have had experience in business process optimization with significant exposure in review processes that lead to the identification of redundancies or inefficiencies.
- Are highly organized, have an ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines, have excellent negotiation skills, be self-motivated working under minimal supervision, and be service-oriented.
- Have a high degree of honesty and integrity, be proactive, have a high level of accuracy, have strong attention to detail, and demonstrate calmness and composure under pressure and in times of uncertainty.
- Have demonstrated strong leadership skills, being able to inspire and motivate a cross-functional team leading it in a unified direction and with a unified vision.
- Have an excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in Labour Law and Industrial Relations.
- Have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion.
- Are able to influence top departmental leadership and management; therefore, be likeable and relatable, inspiring trust in others, and demonstrating an organic ability to establish strong and meaningful relationships with others.
- Have positive and professional attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Have experience with MS Excel required, familiarity with CSV files
- Have hands-on experience with SAP ERP or similar software
