Title: Independent Contractor – CPT-11207 Freight Brokerage Operations Virtual Assistant/Business Support VA/Junior-Senior Level (Remote).
Overview
20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Virtual Assistant to support our growing freight brokerage operations. This role will initially focus on data entry and transportation management system (TMS) updates, with opportunities to expand into load management, track and trace, BOL collections, and freight operations support.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage and can quickly learn processes with minimal supervision. Strong English communication skills, attention to detail, well-organized, and the ability to follow SOPs are essential.
The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.
Scope of Services
Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:
Initial Responsibilities
Perform accurate data entry into the company's Transportation Management System (TMS)
Update and maintain shipment records and customer information
Follow established SOPs and training materials to complete tasks efficiently
Ensure all data entered is accurate, complete, and up to date
Organize and manage transportation-related documentation Evolving Responsibilities
Collect Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proofs of Delivery (PODs)
Send follow-up emails to carriers and drivers regarding missing documentation
Assist with load closure processes
Track shipments from pickup through delivery
Monitor shipment statuses and verify driver ETAs
Communicate with carriers and drivers via email and phone when necessary
Update shipment milestones and tracking information within the TMS and to customers
Assist with load management and operational workflows
Support quoting and RFQ processes as responsibilities expand Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally and in accordance with any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.
Skills
The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements:
Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or supply chain operations
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Self-starter who requires minimal supervision after training
Comfortable following SOPs and recorded training materials
Proficient with email communication
Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with freight brokerage operations
Understanding of transportation terminology and workflows

Work Schedule
Contracted Hours per Week: 40 Hours
Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)
Daily Working Time: 8 AM- 5 PM EST (1 hour Lunch Break) Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
