Customer Development Manager – Lancashire & Cumbria

Function: On Trade

Location: Field Based – North West Region covering Lancashire, Cumbria and Harrogate region.

Salary: circa £33,000 - £41,000 dependant on experience plus full benefits listed below.

Contract: 9-Month FTC

Right now, we’ve got an exciting fixed-term contract opportunity to join the North West On Trade team as a Customer Development Manager, helping us build Britain’s best pub business!

About the role

As one of HEINEKEN UK’s Customer Development Managers, you’ll be a part of an inspired sales team ensuring the growth of our brand footprint and sales in a wide range of outlet types and through different routes to market. You’ll cover a varied geography and be responsible for the outlets and the relationships within it.

This role requires strategic thinking and developing profitable plans that benefit both HEINEKEN and the customer. We work with our customers to achieve a shared goal, happy consumers. This means increasing the availability and appeal of our brands, meaning we have the right brands in the right outlets.

We sponsor some fantastic events that you may have heard of, such as the Champions League, Rugby’s Champion’s Cup, UEFA Women’s Euros and The F1. Part of your role will be keeping your strategy aligned with the overall marketing activation of our brands alongside.

Who we’re looking for
We’re passionate about our brands and we want our Customer Development Managers to be too! If you’re a natural negotiator who has experience in managing customers and bringing brands to life, then this is the role for you.

Being in field sales you’re the face of HEINEKEN and often the touchpoint for our customers. We’re looking for somebody who is trusting, empathetic and relatable in equal amounts.

To excel in this role, you will:

  • Have frontline sales experience.
  • Have FMCG knowledge or awareness.
  • Be commercially aware.
  • Be comfortable with numbers as you will fully manage pricing and P&L’s
  • Be customer-centric – your customer will be at the forefront of everything you do.

We’re always thinking about the future, and we know that to keep up with our customer's demands we need to be socially and digitally aware. We’re looking for somebody who knows their way around Instagram and other social media platforms and understands how this can help your customers and help you in creating your own personal brand.
