About the Role

The Data Analyst, Finance role will play a critical role on the Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team. Primary responsibility is driving JumpCloud’s core reporting, dashboard, and analytics support for the Business Finance team at JumpCloud. This role will be dedicated to supporting the team with strategic financial SaaS metrics.
A successful candidate will be passionate about data. You can balance and appropriately prioritize multiple projects, you are not afraid to ask difficult questions in an ambiguous environment and are passionate about JumpCloud, business finance, and collaboration. Last but not least, a rolling up your sleeves attitude is very important – JumpCloud is a lean and fast moving company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating and driving impactful projects involving data visualization, data analysis, and data curation in partnership with the Business Finance team.
  • Work in direct, constant partnership with the Business Finance Team, sharing in their mission and consulting on the evolution of their data analysis strategy.
  • Owning the outcomes of the analytics initiatives you’re leading. You’re not just a participant in the initiative, you hold yourself responsible for the outcome of the project.
  • Gathering requirements and providing actionable recommendations to business stakeholders that are seen routinely at an executive level, driving adoption and execution of recommendations.
  • Mentoring and growing the other analysts in the group. We’ve got a great organization full of a lot of potential, you’ll be helping the other members of the organization achieve their potential.
  • Evangelize best practices in analytics and finance data analysis by cultivating stakeholder relationships and creating end-user resources.
  • Supporting team's project management, strategic decision-making, and long-term planning.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and data governance and applying them to support our business needs.

We’re looking for:

  • Intermediate quantitative experience, SaaS industry preferred.
  • Functional experience in financial analytics - such as forecasting, expansion, renewals, Gross Revenue Retention, Net Revenue Retention, etc.
  • Intermediate analytical skills and a passion for data storytelling and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in one or more business Intelligence / data visualization tools; Tableau experience highly preferred.
  • Mentoring skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in SQL and relational databases; Snowflake experience highly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience highly preferred
  • Excel or Google Sheets experience highly preferred
  • Experience or exposure to Salesforce
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to learn.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills and communication skills.
  • Experience with Data Governance best practices.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills; Agile experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting and working with an FPA and/or Business Finance team in a fast-paced, unstructured, dynamic environment; Start-up experience a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Finance or other finance or quantitative fields.

This role is remote in the country of Mexico. You must be located in and authorized to work in Mexico to be considered for this role.
