A Brief Overview
The Data Business Partner serves as a strategic partner and member of the data and analytics team who works with an aligned business unit to design and implement data strategies and projects. Understands evolving business contexts, stakeholder expectations, and business requirements while also being able to bring the data perspective to strategic and tactical decisions. Shares accountability for the team's objectives and results and has a clear perspective about how to leverage data to improve business outcomes.

What you will do

  • Partner with assigned groups on implementing and adapting data strategies and projects to meet evolving business needs in alignment with strategic priorities
  • Communicate prioritized stakeholder initiatives and business context to the Data and Analytics team, acting as a driving force for clarity and execution
  • Build and own relationships with stakeholders, serving as their main point of contact to the Data and Analytics team. Consult and advise on initiatives and projects that involve data
  • Assist in data and analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and setting clear expectations for stakeholders regarding project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes
  • Maximize the value drawn from data to meet strategic business goals and support the enablement of a data-driven culture
  • Proactively identify areas where data and analytics can drive business improvements, collaborating with stakeholders to implement these solutions
  • Create presentations and communicate insights to stakeholders in a way that promotes action and positive impact
  • Champion data literacy initiatives to empower business unit members with the knowledge and skills to leverage data effectively in their roles
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related focus

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 10+ years experience in data and analytics or related field with proven record working on business strategy

Skills and Abilities

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex data concepts simply and clearly
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in key software including Microsoft office suites (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Expert at data analysis, including data preparation, exploration, and visualization
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of project management and support
  • Ability to provide creative solutions and unique approaches to data/business challenges
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results

The salary range for this role is $103,700 to $273,700. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
